Once you go to a chiropractor, don't you have to keep on going?
In our opinion, once you see how healthy you become under chiropractic care, you choose to keep coming. This is entirely your choice. Chiropractic neurological care allows your brain and body to function at the highest level possible. Therefore, many people seek regular chiropractic care as part of their health care regimen.
What is the “popping” or “cracking” sound during the adjustment?
Chiropractors adjust the vertebrae (bones in your back) and when that happens occasionally you will hear a “cracking” noise. This noise is caused by gases that shift in between the joints when they are adjusted. The same thing occurs when people "pop" their knuckles. There is no significance to the sound.
Does it hurt to get adjusted?
No! Before your adjustment, muscle massage and other muscle relaxing techniques are applied to lesson the amount of pressure applied in your adjustment. Force is never used during an adjustment and the patient is talked through every step of the adjustment. You can relax because there are no surprises.
Can children and seniors get adjusted?
Everyone has a nervous system, therefore everyone can get adjusted. Chiropractors are nervous system specialists. We make sure the nervous system is free of interference so your body can function as close to 100% as possible. Children and seniors require different non-force techniques.
