Integrated Listening Systems

The Integrated Listening System (iLs) is an auditory and sensory driven system used to improve brain function.  iLs programs effectively "retrain" parts of the brain involved in learning, communicating, and moving.  Combining an auditory program with specific visual and balance activities, iLs strengthens neurological pathways and improves the ability to learn and to process information.

The three main systems for organizing sensory input-- visual, auditory and balance (vestibular) -- are highly interrelated.  Exercising all three simultaneously is a holistic approach which can help people of any age feel sharper, more focused, and self confident.

iLs is most often used to improve conditions such as:
  • Learning difficulties -- reading, writing, cognitive functions
  • Visual/auditory processing
  • Concentration and memory
  • Balance and coordination

Other areas where iLs is successful include the recovery of executive functions after head injuries, improving emotional well being, and helping children on the autism spectrum.

At New Life Chiropractic, we have found that the visual, auditory and balance systems integrated in iLs have been effective in helping us attain our goal of improving brain function in patients enrolled in the Maximum Achievement Program℠.
